Though it isn't official as yet it might be so on August 18 when the legendary K Asif's grand-daughter Hayaa turns 18 in London.
M. F Husain who's currently residing out of India will be one of the special invitees at the 18-year old Hayaa's birthday bash.
"Husain Saab will paint the pretty girl live at her birthday bash. An announcement about Hayaa playing Anarkali to be directed by the grand old artiste is also expected to be made at the party," informs a source.
It should be remembered that Madhubala had played Anarkali in K. Asif's 1960 classic Mughal-e-Azam.
"Interest in the Salim-Anarkali legend has been high ever since the Asifs released the colored version of Mughal-e-Azam three years ago. Casting Hayaa as Anarkali in Husain Saab's film will be another step in reviving classical historical women after Jodha in Ashutosh Gowariker's Jodhaa-Akbar and Sushmita Sen in Rani Of Jhansi," says the source.
Daughter of the legendary K. Asif's son Akbar Asif, Hayaa is expected to be launched by M. F Hussain in the style associated with the Asifs.
Husain has earlier directed seasoned stars like Madhuri Dixit in Gaja Gamini and Tabu in Meenaxi.
